Vossloh has secured multiple tenders for the expansion of the Algerian rail network, with an order volume totaling around €59 million to be delivered by the end of 2025. The company will supply rail fasteners and switch systems to support the extensive modernization and expansion efforts of Algeria's rail infrastructure. Algeria aims to increase its rail network to approximately 15,000 kilometers by 2035, significantly expanding its current length. Vossloh's contributions include delivering 300 switches by the year's end and providing rail fastening systems for a major project connecting an iron ore mine to processing plants over a 950 km stretch. This project is set to enhance passenger and freight transportation within the country. CEO Oliver Schuster expressed enthusiasm for Vossloh's role in promoting sustainable mobility in Algeria.
